Outline Program

The CDIE puts emphasis of its activities on four main programs, i.e. training, research, assistantships, and publication on Islamic education elaborated in detail as follows:

Training

·   Training on improving the quality of Islamic teaching staffs which includes designing syllabus for competency-based curriculum, learning strategies, and class-based evaluation.
·   Training on managing Islamic educational institution based on the principles of school/campus-based management and good corporate governance.
·   Training on academic supervisor incorporating some issues on role and function of academic supervisor, skills required, instruments and tasks undertaken.

Research

·   Action research on curriculum implementation in Islamic educational institution by employing humanistic and inclusive approach. This kind of curriculum will give student a fresh understanding of human equality regardless of different faiths and religions which promotes a shared concern on fighting against poverty, social injustice, illiterate, destruction, religious-stimulated radicalism, and oppressive rulers.
·   Research on managing Islamic educational institution.
·   Research on developing teaching and learning methods of Islamic education.

Assistantship

The center will send its qualified and professional staffs to Islamic educational institution to make competency-based curriculum familiar to the stakeholders involved in running Islamic educational institutions by taking account of educational management, developing syllabus, learning strategies, and class-based evaluation. The staffs deployed will also provide information on developing Islamic educational institutions by making a network with both domestic and foreign institutions.

Publication

In addition to publishing its outline programs into a kind of book and report, the center will devote its effort on publishing a freshly humanistic-inclusive hand book of Islamic education both for teacher and student.
